Why we built BizNY
Free online tools have gotten worse. What used to be a simple utility — a GPA calculator, a JSON beautifier, a DNS lookup — now opens behind three ad loads, a popup asking for your email, and a "premium" tier gating features that were once free. It's noise, and it wastes your time.
BizNY exists because we think a clean, ad-light, trust-first tool directory is worth building. Our bet is that the right audience — US students, small-business owners, developers, marketers, and curious people — will bookmark a site that doesn't pander to them.
What we stand for
Privacy first. Most BizNY tools run entirely in your browser. Your input doesn't pass through our servers. Tools that do need server-side processing (DNS Lookup, Broken Links Checker) don't log queries.
Accuracy before traffic. Our calculators use the exact formulas found in textbooks and standards. If a calculation looks wrong, email us — we read and fix.
Made for US users. Dollars, inches, 4.0 GPA scale, US sales tax, CDC BMI cutoffs. Metric and international conversions are always offered as a toggle where it makes sense.
No dark patterns. No fake urgency. No "start your free trial." No required sign-ups. No data sold.
Who runs BizNY
BizNY is a small, USA-based team of developers, writers, and domain experts who each own a slice of the tool library. We built the first 25 tools hand-on-keys, and we're adding more every week based on what users actually ask for.
